The Workshop is a website meant to catalog the design and building of projects during my time as an engineering student and professional engineer. I walk you through everything from the inspiration and the technical specifications, to the final product and lessons learned.
About Me
Welcome to The Workshop, I'm John Ryan
I have been building and disassembling things from a very young age, becoming familiar with their operational mechanisms and discovering how they work. I started with Legos and while I often use power tools and pursue making things, from the historic to the cutting edge, I still make time to build and design things with those same Legos that inspired me long ago. I'm currently a junior at Miami University studying mechanical engineering and aspire to bring this passion for design to the next generation of American machinery.
